Introduction

The original concept of this project was built inside a contemporary 2-story home with attached 3-car garage. It features lofts, vaulted ceilings and an open kitchen/family room. What it didn't feature was adequate storage space for today's lifestyle.

The homeowners' 5' x 10' walk-in closet could no longer hold their clothes. In fact, the racks kept falling down.

The most logical place to develop new space was above the garage, a space that was originally filled with roof braces and trusses. Our only option was to rebuild the roof and floor framing from the inside in order to create new and usable square footage.

This award-winning project began as a large walk-in closet and attic storage space. The final plan included a 27' long walk-in closet, a very warm and inviting quiet room, a home office and a much needed hobby/craft room. The homeowners were looking for a new home before we came along. Now, they love their "Signature Spaces" and wouldn't think of moving.
