Introduction

This project originated from a very modest 2 bedroom colonial. The elderly owners had long run out of space and now desperately needed a 1st floor bathroom. But, they did not want to leave the neighborhood. The home had also suffered from decades of benign neglect.

The original concept was to build an addition to accommodate a shower/bath and family room. But, it soon became apparent that the kitchen was woefully inadequate. The final design included the bath, family room and kitchen as well as a new roof, new siding & insulation, insulated windows & doors and a new entrance.

This is an excellent case study of the best reason for homeowners to remodel their homes. To anyone else this project may represent a poor investment. But, to the homeowners it is the realization of a life-long dream.

While "Signature Spaces, LLC" has many exceptionally satisfied customers, these people were and remain ecstatic. They chose to upgrade their home rather than leave. Their reward was beyond their wildest imaginations. They are in heaven.
